The Blood & Bandage Golf Society held our first event at Olde Scotland Links on Sunday May 20th.

On what turned out to be a fantastic day weather wise, Colm Caffrey won with a great score of 41 points. Colm played some great golf on the day and was fantastic tee to green. His score could have been 3 or 4 points better but for a few three putts. The most expensive of those was on the par 3 16th were Colm recorded the only zero point hole on his card. That meant that Jeff Sanders who had battled all day was the only player with no zeros on his card and collected the very lucrative payout. Johnny Kearns played his best golf in a number of years to record a great score of 40 points and win the battle of the Painters where RB Mcauley beat out Kenny McCarthy in a count back for 3rd position. Mark Cahillane came in 5th and made his breakthrough breaking 36 Points for the first time.

There were 5 skins paid out and the highlight of those was Dave Power's gross birdie for a net five points on the index 1 15th hole.

The team event was won in a runaway but that was no surprise seeing as the 1st and 2nd placed individual finishers played on the same team and dragged the other two teammates along.

Aisling Doyle won the closest to pin on the 3rd hole and Joe Regan who was well caddied by Colm Caffrey in his club selection won the closest to the pin on the 16th just edging out Mike Moynihan by a foot.

Anyone that did not get paid out on the day, you can pick up your winnings at our next event which will be on Wednesday July 4th in Butter Brook GC located at 157 Carlisle Road, Westford, MA 01886.

There are 2 tee times available, the early tee times start at 6:00 AM and the other option is the 10:00 AM start.

Green fees for the day are $68 including cart.
